BIOGRAPHY
With over 15 years of experience, Jonathan M. Passner, Ph.D. represents clients in the biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries, prepares and prosecutes patents, and manages and counsels them on their patent portfolios.
His work includes drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, as well as managing and counseling clients on their patent portfolios, for clients across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology space. He has been involved in preparing freedom to operate, patentability, and invalidity opinions, conducting due diligence for a wide variety of transactions, as well as patent litigation, representing both small and large companies.
Jonathan also serves as a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, as well as of the Association of University Technology Managers. He also served as a research postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was awarded a Special Fellowship from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Jonathan’s clients range from inventors to startup companies to global corporations. He also represents academic institutions and investors, across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology sectors.
